Personal Blog Time: In which I talk about my Lady Preferences

If you haven't already noted from the title, I will be discussing about something fairly personal (and ironically something I haven't really given much thought about 'til recently) on my personal taste of women.

Note that I will only be talking about physical appearance, as I cannot claim knowledge as to the personality and character of the individuals pictured (though their roles in various films may have lent them to my preferring their type as compared to others).

Also please note that, in the long scheme of things, one's personality and character far outweighs the physical appearance one may possess, in my humble opinion. Though it cannot be denied that physical appearance is what catches the eye for most.

Moving forward!

As one can tell from the pictures, girls that have slightly roundish yet strong features, along with brunette or dirty blond hair, and eyes that could probably keep all the stars swimming in their spherical universes, really catch my attention. I've never been one for women that have too strong a set of facial features, or too soft, too light a set. There's always the juxtaposition of soft and strong features that keep my interest.

Clear, well-defined eyebrows really emphasize the look of the eyes - especially if the eyes have a somewhat large, roundish appearance. A forehead that isn't small nor overly tall help to round out the appearance. A fairly long nose with a defined bridge, topped off with a somewhat soft set of nostrils complement the rest of the facial features well. Lips that aren't overly thick nor thin keep everything in balance. And of course, the brunette or dirty blonde hair, usually nape-length to shoulder-length hair (though longer is fine) caps everything off.

Notice how I focused a lot on the idea of balance (and the fact I seem to focus heavily on the face, instead of, say, a girl's bosom or behind, or shape of the body - I could touch upon that later, but it's not the major emphasis). I believe this just reinforces the contemporary idea that mankind values symmetry. One extreme or another often lends to disregard or disinterest.

Oh, and it may not have been exemplified by the set of photos, but I have a bias towards girls who wear glasses. Not sure why - might have to do with the fact that I myself wear glasses.

As we are strictly speaking on physical appearance, I will touch upon the body type I am comfortable with.

A medium-size build, ranging between slightly curvaceous to fairly curvaceous (argue about the difference all you like dear readers - I myself have no clear idea what the difference is~) are ideal, in my humble opinion. A height ranging between 5'2" - to 5'6" is a good range for me (though I haven't personally checked the heights of any of the ones pictured above, and a girl who is close to my height would be A-OK for me, so long as she doesn't wear tall heels). The size of the breasts or behind are irrelevant.

And that's my thoughts on my own personal preference of women. Next time we have Personal Blog Time, I'll be talking about the type of personalities and characters I cannot help getting interested in (because we all know that looks can only go so far~).

If you're wondering about the women that I've got in the pictures above, here's the list:

Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Zoe Kazan
고아성 (Go Ah-Song)
Zoe Deschanel
Anne Hathaway
Jennifer Connelly
Emily Blunt
Anna Akana
Saoirse Ronan
Jessica Brown Findlay

Stay tuned for my next Personal Blog Time!
